Kim Kardashians, baby shower invites....
Just how over the top were Kim Kardashian's music-box baby shower invitations? Really, really, really over the top -- and TMZ has the first photo proof.
The invite to Kim K's June 2nd bash -- sent to a guest close to Kanye West -- arrived as a fully functional music box, complete with a spinning ballerina ... dancing to a lullaby version of Kanye's "Hey Mama."
Not only is the invite playing the baby daddy's tune, but the ballerina bears a striking resemblance to Kim herself -- just in case anyone forgets who this party is REALLY celebrating.
According to the invites, Kris Jenner, Shelli Azoff (wife of uber-manager Irving Azoff), Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian are hosting the party. Recommended attire ... garden chic. We think that's rich people speak for casual.

who cares? Also, are they really going to try and pick on her for ths when she has already requested that in lieu of gifts people donate to a children's hospital? If she wants these big invites and is choosing to spend her money on them that is her decision. People will really make a story out of anything.

I agree. Its just because its Kim Kardashian and clan that this is a big deal. If someone like Jessica Biel did this no one would say anything negative about it.

I think it is kind of cute. Maybe not the song but its different. She may not be everyones favorite person but what she is doing with having everyone donate money instead of gifts well that is amazing. I think it is because it is for Kim Kardashian so people look at this and think over the top and crazy. I like the Garden Chic aspect too. I don't mind Kim though, maybe that is why.

I love it. I love setting the tone for the party with an amazing invitation. I think people have to hate because of who she is, but I think the idea of the invitation is adorable. How special and personal to them.

The story came out quite awhile ago and was in no way connected to this story that a,e out just to bash her invites.

Not sure what they'd do and I'm sure some of her celeb friends will still bring gifts. But the article I posted even has a quote from the hospital staff so I doubt that it is a publicity stunt. I don't think a hildren's hospital would get involved Ina scheme like that

If I got that in the mail, I'd immediately have to change the song to this Kayne one:
I think it's a wasteful but original so I'll give them credit for that. One thing I am happy to see is that it didn't have a corporate sponsor.

i'm not a fan of the kardashians, i'm not a big fan of the invite (i don't think it's ugly, just that it's too personal and not everyone will want something like that)
my only real comment is... etiquette: isn't the mother/sisters not supposed to host these types of events?
i know that etiquette can be old-fashioned and so forth, but i still believe in some of the underlying reasons for it... granted, if she's asking her guests to give money to charity, it kind of throws this rule on its side.
just my train of thought
