Kim Kardashian: Why I Filed for Divorce from Kris Humphries
Kim Kardashian is opening up – just a little – about why she's ending her 72-day marriage to Kris Humphries.
"I hope everyone understands this was not an easy decision," she says in a statement to E!, which airs her reality shows. "I had hoped this marriage was forever, but sometimes things don't work out as planned. We remain friends and wish each other the best."
Kardashian, 31, cited "irreconcilable differences" in her Los Angeles Superior Court filing on Monday, saying the couple have a prenuptial agreement and asking the court to deny spousal support to Humphries.

I agree 100% but seriously 72 days is her idea of a go at marriage? Way to put in no effort whatsoever. I kinda feel bad for Kris though, he actually seemed like he wanted marriage to work....to bad he tried to do it with her.

This annoys me, marriage is something to be worked at everyday. Yes you get married because you're in love and want to spend "forever" together but it takes work.
Do I agree that some people should get divorced, absolutely. But I feel like some people shouldn't enter into marriage so lightly that all they are thinking about is the wedding and nothing beyond.

I don't think that any of us can see it their way. It's just a world that we don't live in. There is a space and time continuum that we will never understand with people like this.
Once the "honeymoon" was over so was the marriage.

I heard that E actual shopped for a boyfriend for her and no one would date her. They wanted someone from NY not sure if specifically from a basketball team but they wanted someone relatively famous and Kris was the only one who would date her.

Before Kim Kardashian met Kris Humphries, she allegedly had her eye on another NBA player, former Knicks hoopster Danilo Gallinari. And, according to website Wetpaint.com, Kardashian specifically was in the hunt for a piece of arm candy from the NBA.
Kardashian was so eager to land a basketball player, the site says, that she had producers at E!, the home of her reality shows, contact NBA teams about potential beaus. Sources say that producers at the network called the Knicks to find out if the team’s handsome Italian import, Gallinari, was single.
"They asked if he would be interested in dating her and being on a reality show," a source told the site. "Danilo said he would love to meet Kim but was not interested in dating her or being on a reality show ... Even though E! explained it would be great for his career, Gallinari turned the offer down."
Kardashian reportedly wanted a New York sports star to date to coincide with the debut of her series "Kourtney & Kim Take New York” in January. Apparently she settled on the Tri-State area and Nets player Humphries. The pair started dating in December 2010.
Gallinari played for the Knicks from 2008 until he was traded to the Denver Nuggets during last season.
Kardashian previously said she met Humphries at a basketball game with a friend, and she noted to her pal that the NBA player was attractive. Kim’s friend then set up a group dinner, the story goes, with Kardashian, Humphries, another Nets player and herself.
Humphries' Nets teammate, Jordan Farmar, has said he was the Nets player on the double date, and he’s taken credit for getting Kardashian and Humphries together.
"I introduced them in New York and they have come a long way since," Farmar told Us Weekly. "They both fit each other. He is a good kid. He is from the country ... So he kind of slows it down, and she is fast paced and has a lot of stuff going on, so they kind of balance each other out."
Kardashian and Humphries have recently begun putting up a united front as rumors swirl that their marriage is on the rocks. The two went to dinner last night at Izakaya Restaurant in Los Angeles.

Wow. Just goes to show you beauty isn't everything. She's so shallow, self centered and frankly she seems extremely boring and uptight. No wonder no one wants to date her. Funny how both of the other sisters had no problems landing a man and meanwhile Kim seems to always be looking. She's always tweeting and FBing pics of herself. Conceited much?
Honestly I used to love the Kardashian show when it first came out but now I'm so disgusted by that entire family that I refuse to watch. The Mom is like a pimp especially when it comes to Kim. The only ones that seem real to me are Bruce and Khloe.

she's an ***..really. famous for no reason other than her daddy being a big time lawyer and releasing a sex tape.
they might be good business people with marketing their clothiing etc, but enough with whoring yourselves out everywhere.
i feel bad for her in a way b/c it seems her life is very empty with all that she has. wants nothing more than to be loved and find someone to marry, but she hasnt a clue as to what that really means.

Puh-lease everyone knew this "marriage" was a hoax from the beginning. I truly do wish she had to pay back everything they paid her- and the 2 mill e-ring.
It's a shame that this chick will really and truly do anything for money- first the porn tape now a wedding. Good luck trying to buy credibility with that money.

Totally done for the show and so was the wedding. It was so obvious and ridiculous
I don't think Kim thinks anyone will be good enough unless she dates herself
She is too self-centered to see good qualities in someone else
I don't think Kris is too innocent himself, but I think he tried. He did it to be a little famous and didn't realize what he was getting into
