Just got back from my 39 week appointment: Baby's coming early!
Looks like Milani will be here by tomorrow afternoon if all goes well w/them inducing me.
She hasn't moved a lot today and during the sonogram she wasn't really moving either. The doctor seemed concerned that she may be uncomfortable..so he has given us the option to go tomorrow or Saturday. I have to monitor her movement tonight and call him in the morning. Honestly she hasn't moved a lot today. Normally she is moving all day long. The look on his face scared me a little, especially when he said her head isn't positioned right. Apparently she's looking up when she should be looking down?
Anyway...this is it girls. I'm scared, nervous and excited all at the same time.
I guess the pool is out huh?  BUT it's a good thing I did my hair...

She is posterior. When babies are born, the "ideal" position has them facing your back, so when they come out you see the back of their head. Some babies are "sunny side up" or Posterior so that when they are born, they are face up.
This means back labor for you 
However, if you want to try to get her facing the right direction, try rocking back and forth on your hands and knees for a bit tonight and while you are in labor too. It might alleviate the pressure of the back of her head against your spine, and she may turn back around for you.

Also, tell DH (or whoever your labor coach is) to give you a backrun during labor. Not a normal "feel good" backrub, one with LOTS of counter-pressure on your lower back.... TRUST ME, this will help a LOT. The epi will be AMAZING, but you may still feel some of the back labor as its really strong.
Rocking back and forth on your hands and knees will put the heaviest part of  (her back) against gravity so that her back will (should) want to be facing downward (towards the floor.. the *ideal* position) while if you are lying on your back, the heaviest part of her will want to be at your back... does that make any sense???
Anyway, good luck... you CAN do it!

I agree, this all really helped me during back labor.
Have your DH use a tennis ball to apply the counter pressure on your back.
