Just bought a Sound Machine- It's a miracle worker!!!
I have a 2 1/2 week old at home. She really doesnt sleep much after feedings and will just cry unless she is held and rocked.
Well after seeing the Newborn photographer use the sound machine....I figured I would buy one and try it out.
Not sure if this is what is helping but she is sleeping so GREAT the past 2 days!!! I actually had time to shower, eat, and put on makeup this morning. So HOORAY for the sound machine.

I wish I had bought mine sooner! I got it when DS was 3 or 4 months old and he definitely slept better once we got it.

I agree! We couldn't exist in this house without the sound machine, it's a godsend for naps and overnight.

we have one but haven't used it- when do you put it on? When they are falling asleep or when they are asleep?

As soon as I put her in the bassinet/Crib. As she is still awake but falling asleep. I use the waterfall sound.

Thanks! I have the Homedics SoundSpa with the projector, which DS loves, but DD not so much lol. Always wondering if there is something better out there lol.

i use a portable radio and leave it on white noise. i have had a fantastic sleeper since she was 4wks old. i still use it for naps too and bring it everywhere we go when we travel!

We have the sleep sheep. DD loves it. We use it for every nap and at night. We use the heartbeat sound and the ocean sound. It has gotten to the point where DH and I need it to sleep at night LOL.
And we have 1 for upstairs and one for downstairs.

We have the Sleep Sheep too but I hate that it only stays on for 45 minutes! I want to get another one that we can keep on all night. For now, the humidifier in DS's room provides some great white noise.

I can't even sleep in silence. I wish I would have realized sooner that DD can't either. She is 21 months old and has been using one since about 6 months old.

How long does yours stay on for ?
All the ones I am always finding shut off after a short period of time !
