Jewish person here - I need HELP assembling a pre-lit tree!! *UPDATE* need info on something else now
 Oy! if my Yiddishe mamma could see me now! 
I just bought a pre-lit Christmas tree to surprise my Catholic DH. umm, I am FAR from an expert here, but there are many gaping areas in between the branches. it looks NOTHING like the picture!!  
did I do something wrong? Am I not supposed to lower the branches which were tied up?? 
HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 
UPDATE - so the instructions say to not put it outdoors, but we have a covered deck in our apt and I think it would look nice out there. since it is pre-lit, I don't know if they are indoor only lights. does anyone know if all lights can be put outdoors?

You need to play with the branches a bit. Fluff it up a little. Or, it could just be a peice of crap.

it was $30 at Eckerd. what was I expcting, Fortunoff quality?
ok, so lowering the branches was correct, right?

Definitely fluff and fold and squint your eyes a little bit. Sometimes they pack in extra stuff to wrap around the center pole. You definitely did what you were supposed to!

Hmm, no, not all lights can go outdoors. They have to be UL listed or wired for outdoors, specifically, or water can short circuit the tree/outlet/who knows what else.
Leave it in...and take a pic!!

oh yea it gets cold, it's outside, just covered. we're keeping it in the kitchen. and I am so happy, DH LOVES IT!!!!!
