I managed to watch a good portion of the show - almost an hour of it.

Its definitely a train wreck - and I see that people love to watch it for the laughs and drama of it all - I won't deny that I tuned in last night and watched some of it - BUT how are these people being classified as italian guidos and guidettes??

The italians that i know and grew up with - don't look, act, present themselves like this (most of these people don't even have anything remotely affiliated with being italian, - i don't get that part of it??

I think no matter what culture, background ethnicity -- as PEOPLE they should be ashamed and embarrassed at how they are acting. I am embarrassed for them just watching them.

I watched about 10 mins of it and my 1st thought was...these are someone kids...I'm embrassed for them! I would KILL my daughter if I ever saw her act like this. Seems none of them have respect for themselves or their families.

It's all pretty funny. MTV is turning all of these people into mere caricatures and I hope there is more to them than what is being shown. As someone whose beach house and beach town was taken over for a reality show that never made it, I can say that MTV exploits the kids who want to be on reality TV and they do nothing for the image of the location in which they decide to shoot. On Fire Island they even trashed part of the dunes to get the shots they wanted (thereby increasing the risk of damage in the next storm). Sure these kids should have known what they were getting into but it seems obvious that the show takes the snippets that fit them into the mold of what they want their character to be like. I believe very little of what I see on so called reality TV but I watch it if I find it entertaining.
