It's OFFICIAL
I am joining the Make-A-Wish Foundation and becoming a 'Wish Granter' 
I just spoke to my Coordinator!! My orientation is tonight!  I CAN'T WAIT! I am soooo excited to be a part of this great organization!!!

What exactly does a "wish granter" do?
there are four steps involved with wish granting: first there's the referral, and then medical eligibility....once a child has been referred, and found to be medically eligible, that's where the wish granter teams come in:
Step 3: Finding the true wish:
We send one of our enthusiastic wish teams to learn the child’s one true wish. These passionate volunteers connect with wish children and help explore their imaginations for the experience that will delight and inspire them.
Step 4: Creating joy:
Our wish granters create an unforgettable experience driven by the child’s creativity. It’s an incredible experience that enriches not just the lives of the children and their families, but often an entire community.
I CANNOT WAIT!!!

I can't refer the child - either the child's relative/caregiver or the child's physician has to refer them.
I did, however, tell a very sweet friend of mine to refer her relative - IF they go through with it, I would be SO honored to participate in granting their wish!!! OMG, that would be SO amazing!

I attended my local Chamber of Commerce meeting and the Community Relations Coordinator from Make-A-Wish was there. We spoke briefly about what they do. I learned that ALL WISHES that are submitted are GRANTED - I did not know this!!! I thought there was a lottery type thing, or selection process involved! NOPE. All children who are referred, and have been found to be eligible, they get their wish granted! I knew on the spot that I HAD to be a part of that. So, she took my info, and the rest is history! Tonight is orientation!

my aunt was 15 when she got spinal cancer and they made her last month of living the best time of her life !!! think its a great thing you are doing
