Is your daycare closed on Monday?
Mine is and I wasn't prepared for it (clearly I should've looked at the daycare calendar but I forgot) Just curious if it's b/c I'm at an in-home daycare?

yes. They gave out a schedule of closed days/early dismissals in late 2009.

I forgot about this.
I just figured since every sh!tty company I ever worked for was open on Columbus Day that everything else was too.
Luckily my husband will be home on Monday.
But I have to start thinking about other holidays coming up that i am NOT off for.

Nope Tutor time closes only 6 days a year.. thank God!!!!
ETA: def not b/c it's in home care.. many centers are closed too.

I have that too but I just wasn't thinking to check for Columbus day. I'm new to this daycare thing.

nope, they're open and I think they take after school kids on days like that
thank goodness b/c my office is open
it's considered part of the "floating holiday" which I already used up mine

Yep, our center is closed. Thank goodness Monday is considered a floating holiday- and I can take it off!

Mine is, but it is in one of the buildings where I work and I am also off. They go by the federal holidays and I am off all of the same so it works out great.

Yup mine is closed and I wasnt prepared either. For some reason I didnt remember but DH reminded me. DH is taking a vacation day to stay home with DS.

Yes, my daughter's preschool is closed. Public schools are too. My office was always open on Columbus day, I remember I always had to take a day off when I wasn't working.
