Anyone else's daycare closed next week??
I get that daycares close for holidays, but I don't get how I didnt realize they close for all of Easter week. Luckily I'm home recovering from surgery, but I'm not a teacher. What if I was working this week? What would I have done with DS?

A lot of day cares go along with the local school schedule's. I know the Tutor Time by me does this. My best friend wanted to put her son in there but had to go with a home based day care because of that.

Ours closes for the week of Christmas but not the week of Easter, just Good Friday.

Mine is closed Good Friday and Monday after Easter. DH will watch DS on Friday most likely and I took off Monday. They were closed all of Christmas week but luckily my DH and my mom watched the baby - I had to be at work. I think its nice bc they seem to treat their employees well there but I feel bad for the people who have no one to watch the kids on days they are closed and are put in a tough spot.

My old daycare did the same thing. It was a deciding factor when I choose daycares.

mine but it only follows the school schedule which is fine by me since i do too. the daycare i use only takes teacher's children so it can follow that schedule.

DD's preschool is closed. I never knew daycars could close all week long...Thats crazy. I get it for preschool not for daycares.

DS's pre-school is closed too and the kicker is that they're having another WEEK off 2 weeks later for Spring break How they can justify 2 full weeks off in the same month is beyond me. I feel like it's so hard to get the kids back on schedule with those kinds of breaks and now there's 2!!!
Thank Goodness I work in a Catholic School that has a pre-school room that I can bring him in with me

My daycare is in my church, but they are only closed on Good Friday.....My DH works for the state of NC, and he is off that day, too

Ours is closed Good Friday and Easter Monday. It's a little annoying but we love the center and it's a nice excuse to spend a little time with the boys - DH and I are each going to take 1 day.
A full week, IMO, is completely unacceptable. Personally I'd look for a new center - you'll spend all of your vacation time just to cover their closings!

Mine is closed because they run by the public school calendar. Instead, they offer "vacation care" for an additional fee if anyone needs it. I don't mind because we're paying less monthly compared to others that I know.

Mine follows a school dsitrcit schedule and is closed, but since I am a teacher and on break it won;t matter.
Hoping for nice weather for a fun week off

DDs preschool closed too but I agree I didnt think a daycare would close all week!
