Is this normal b day party related
Just wondering if this was common.
We were invited to a kids party that is on weekday in July at 11am (at their home).
Do people have parties on weekdays during the day for their kids. I've never seen this before but not really with it when it comes to kids parties either. We're working during these hours so can't make it. I feel bad but it's just not something I'd use a day for.

Not sure if it's normal, but we both work so it's not something we would ever do...or be able to attend.

There are alot of weekday parties here in NH. The kids take the school bus home with the bday boy/girl to their house after school. Then parents pick the kids up when the party is over. Id never have a weekday party though lol.

Every single kid in my sons preschool class has had a weekday party this year. It stinks because he can't ever go. I guess I am the only working mom of the 10 kids in his class
There are ALOT of stay at home mom's in my town

We did a weekday party for dds 4th this year. It was during a school break so fine for dh and sone of my teacher friends. As for her classmates, she goes two mornings a week so I know the kids have parents or for some grandparents who are home with them. It was nice to give them something to do on a day off. All but two of her classmates came.

She SAH the dads not a teacher he does something corporate but I don't really know what. He's def not off during the week though. I'm guessing it's a SAHM pre k thing. That makes much more sense! I was so confused, like I kept wondering who's going to this? But that makes sense if most her friends SAH too. This is so bad to say but I'm kind of digging it, perfect excuse not to attend and my Saturday is not wasted hahaha. I'm the worst :)

In preschool, yes, my kids were invited to a couple of weekday parties. If a lot of parents are sah then you will get those hind of invites.

This happens a lot where I live (OOS). A large majority of parents are either SAHM/D or work from home.

I had a summer weekday party this past summer. In my situation I knew everyone that was invited was either a SAHM, a teacher home for the summer, or friends that have their own business and flexible schedules. It worked out well... 100% of the kids we invited attended. Summer weekends are hard.. everyone is busy and I know most of my mom friends needed to keep the kids busy during week days so it just worked out better for me to do it this way. That being said. I took the guests we were inviting into consideration when planning it.

Totally normal! I personally haven't done it but we've gone to bday parties during the week, in the morning. This is usually done by SAHMs

Yes - it's not as common as weekend parties but, week night parties definitely and during the summer we definitely have been invited to a number of week day parties. That said, I am in an area with mostly SAHM and those that are not have babysitters/nannies that bring their kids every where so, this wouldn't be an issue.

we haven't been invited to one but i know that happen with kids at DDs pre school. its half day so sometimes the AM kids have their birthday party when their school day ends.
DD did have a party that was at 3:45 after school and I arranged it with my mom friends to get her to and from the party.

Ive been invited to 3 parties on a weekday... One is on a Tuesday and two are on a Friday.

I've been invited to a few, I am a teacher, so if it's summer I go, otherwise babysitter or good friend takes him. One I said no to.
