Is the extra room with a king mattress really worth it?
we desperately need a new mattress. dh really wants to get a king size this time; i'm ambivalent. it will fit in our room with space to spare, but i'm still going back and forth on whether it's worth the extra room.
for those that upgraded from a queen size, do you think it makes a difference or is it a take it or leave it kind of thing?

My husband is just under 6'5' so for us it is totally worth it. I hate when we go somewhere and get put in a queen!

we are not big people and it makes a huge difference. We both sleep so much better, you just have so much more space when you are not cuddling and just trying to sleep! We were on vacation a few weeks ago and in a queen and i elbowed Dh in the head... so hard to go back!

Definitely worth it, especially once your daughter starts to climb into bed with you.
DH and I share the bed with our furbaby.

my master bedroom isn't that large but we went with the king size anyway and i am SO glad we did...there will be plenty of room for when we have kids and we both get great sleep and have a lot of room to spread out...some nights we cuddle and sleep close b/c we feel so far away most nights  i can never go back to anything smaller (and we slept in a full sized bed for years when we had an apartment!)...

best purchase we ever made! and we say that to each other pretty much every night! it is especially great when pregnant and need lots of room to spread out!

Yes - definitely worth it! People make fun of us because we are both kind of short but, it is worth it! Love the king sized bed.
