Is it true that full moons bring on labor
I just read my horoscope and it sait there will be a full moon on May 31st -- I'm hoping the old wiveis tale is true!!!

 Hopefully the baby will come on it's own before then. Are you doing lots of walking, BD'ing, and eating Chinese food?

Chinese the night before last -- Mexican tonight -- walking in the park with Scout every day -- acupuncture and prenatal massage today -- chiropractor tomorrow -- BDing over the weekend (good thing it's a 3-day weekend, lol!!) -- squatting, using the birthing ball -- Tuesday I go back for a long acupuncture session, we'll see if anything happens!!
Can't say I didn't try!!!

LOVE the ball...
My OB says that storms/rain bring on labor -- due to the drop in barometric pressure.
I hope we have a lovely weekend but come TUESDAY (sorry, forgot Monday is a holiday) I wouldn't mind a downpour!!

When I had my daughter it was a full moon and they were predicting a blizzard. The place was packed, not a free room to be had, and I asked the nurses why. They said they definately see more women in labor during full moons. They thought it had to do with that a pregnant woman is carrying so much water they are going to be affected just like bodies of water on earth. They said it also happens during extreme weather situations (blizzard, hurricane, etc) or intense social situations (say a 9/11 or something of that magnitude).

Both my sister and I were born during full moons. I was induced, but there was a full moon the day before my due and I was convinced that was when I was going to have DS.

Like Cathy said; the nurse at lamaze told us the same thing, she said it is always a full house when the full moon comes.
