Re: ING

I've been pleased so far. And right now they are having a "winter sale." Any new deposits made between 1/19/06 and 4/15/06 earn 4.75% interest. Their normal interest rate is 3.8. It's a very user-friendly website. It's so easy to transfer money every paycheck (or you can do direct deposit or auto transfers). It does take a few days to transfer your money out, though. So, if you need money quickly, it's not ideal (I've never taken money out but I hear it takes about 3 days).

If you'd like a referral you can FM me.

ETA: HSBC online has an online savings account that is at 4.25% right now. The benefit (I believe) is that you can have an ATM card for that account making the money easily accessible.

We love it. It's very easy to use. It does take a few days to transfer the money out but you just have to plan accordingly.

When I put Jared's money into a CD, at our bank (Roslyn), the % rate was more than what ING was offering.Chat Icon

How long was the term of the CD? Since one is a CD and one is a savings account I am not sure if you can really compare them side by side.
