Bd-ing question maybe be TMI!
I know most sources say that after bd-ing, you should lie on your back for a half an hour. I do this religiously but when I get up, well you know..... Sorry if it's TMI! Does that have an impact on your chances? Or should I assume that enough gets up in there within a half hour and stays up there! LOL

I am almost positive whatever will get up there, has gotten up there already by then :). That is what my ob/gyn told me at least.

OB told me the same thing, it doesn't help your chances of conceiving. I didn't lay for more than 1 minute both times i got pg

I would lay with my hips tilted up for about 10 minutes. After a IUI they ask that you do that. I think it's a "just in case method" because some uterus are tilted in a certain way and you are helping make the spermies job a little easier :)
Also work on your cervical mucus, because that will help the "leakage' situation a bit :)

It's funny that you mention that, because I always get up right away and go to the bathroom. I know DH is on board if I get preggo, but he's not neccessarily in a rush, so it's going to be hard for me to just start lying around for while.

Hmm a tampon ? Not sure about the absorption factor, however, some do use 'instead cups'. Which were made to use for AF time, however, it can keep the semen close to the cervix.
Another thing they say, is that if a woman orgasms after a man, it can help. The contractions can help push the semen to the cervix.

Michelle - jus a quick question about what you said earlier about working on your CM to help with the "leakage." Do you mean by drinking lots of water etc to help to you have CM?

a friend of mine told me she would always run to the bathroom and still got pregnant. but you should stay lying doewn for at least how long?

I lay down with pillows under my butt for a 1/2 hour...talk about awkward!
I DO however have to always go to the bathroom when I get up...I always wondered if my urination was bad...
