I'm starting my Christmas Wish list and have a question... (camera realted)
I am in DESPARATE need of a new digital camera.
I know the Nikon D40 or D40x comes highly recommended.
But...I was wondering if there was a digital camera that was also a video camera.
I hate always lugging 2 cameras on vacation. I was hoping there was a good digital camera, that could also be a video camera as well, when needed.
And yes...this is Parenting related, cause I only take pics of my kids.

There is a new Nikon out that does, I forget the model #, but it was 
What I have is a very small handheld camcorder that I love! I throw it in my purse, back pocket, or even in with the camera bag when I lug that around... It's called the Flip Ultra camcorder:

Oooo...that's adorable! And a great idea! How do you watch the movies you make? Does it plug into the TV?
Anybody else have any recommendations?

Anybody else have any recommendations?
It has a flip up usb port that connects right into your computer to easily upload to your computer, or any website like youtube. It also has cables so that it can be plugged into the tv to play. I really love it. I was skeptical about only having 60 minutes worth of video, but my tapings are usually short clips and I always transfer to my computer so I never have an issue.

You are talking about the Nikon D90 that will have a different lense for taking video.
They will only be mono though from what I read.
