I'm really sick of month jokes....
I'm just throwing it out there now.
No it is not ok to ask me where May June and July are. No it's not ok to say but it's only March, not its not ok to ask if i was named April bc I was born in April. If something stupid is going to fly out of your mouth keep it to yourself.
And I'm happy your birthday is in April...really I am. No need to keep telling me.
It's like someone telling me that their name is Patty and me telling them it rhymes with Fatty so I'll call them Fatty Patty.
Grrrrrrrrrrrr

I know Aprils and Mays and Junes and I have NEVER thought of them as a month.
Nor do I think of them and associate it with other things that happen in the time of the year that happens to the same name as theirs.
How strange.
Last I checked a month can't shake my hand or help with a work assignment. People are people and Months are units of time.
Sorry folks are being stupid. I never even thought anyone would so this (though I know I shouldn't be surprised).
If it makes you feel better, I get this one "I know a dog who looks just like you" and after a five second pause "OH MY GOD! I meant your EYES! not that you look like a dog" *shrug*  People.

It's no where near as bad or as often as your name, but I often get people assuming I'm Irish since my name is Shawn..... Uh... no. First of all, "Sean" is Irish/Gaelic. Shawn is from other areas. Plus, my mom just thought it was a nice name.
So, do you get May flowers in your bathroom after you take a shower?

In kindergarten I was known as Jeannie Jeannie with the 6 foot weenie. They said I slammed it in the door now it's 6 ft 4.

Its actually E Liza Doolittle, not Liza Doolittle.
and thats if people get my name right - I have been called Liz, Leeza, Lisa, LIZa (so, think the way you would say lizard without the RD at the end)
Its a 4 letter name - and it has caused me so much grief - and I still love my name!!!!

I always get asked what my real name is. Its Tina.. not Christina, christine, kristine, cristina.. I seriously get asked this everytime i meet someone.. and with my job, i have to introduce myself about 40 times a day, and get asked almost everytime..
My first grade teacher actually told me to go home and ask my mommy what my real name was... I know my name you big jerk its Tina.. UGHHHHHHH...

My name is Sophie. I am CORRECTED ALL THE TIME as "Sophia" as if I don't know to pronounce my own name or just don't know I really should be a Sophia. Then I hear it's a nick name of Sophia. Uhhh!! no.. it's not a nick name. Sophie is French. Sophia is Italian. Just like Mary, Marie and Maria. Not nick names... same name in a different language.
That would never occur to me to say such thing to someone about "June". How immature! I would make them feel like they are VERY VERY little after I had a talk to them. Kindergarden is over!

This happens to me too. My name is Vicki. Not Victoria and not Tori. People ask me if I'm a Victoria, and when I say no, they say "Really? I thought it was."

People really don't think before they speak.
It s u c k s when I'm at work and a customer will joke about May and June-I have to laugh it off. They tip me. When deep down inside I want to rip their eyes out because I hate it so much and I would normaly be such a Bi+<h about it if I wasn't at work.
Hope this doesn't start up a tipping post lol
