i'm out of the hospital!!! brief labor story
hey girls,
don't know if you remembered, but i had been in the hospital for the past two months on partial bedrest, b/c i ruptured my water bag at 24 weeks.
baby was able to hang on for two months and was born at 32 weeks---
here are the stats:
 baby cole bennett
born october 27, 2006 at 5:46 pm
4 pounds, 5 ounces, 16.5 inches long
he is still recovering in the special care unit where he'll be for several weeks. he's doing better each day...
i was having strong contractions the past week, but no cervical changes. they drew my blood work and decided to induce me b/c they saw my white blood cell count elevating. they were worried i might be in the beginning stages of having an infected amniotic fluid sac.
i got pitocin at 1 pm (fingertip dilated), and by 4:30 pm, i was fully dilated and effaced, ready to go.
i had my epidural only 30 mins. after the pitocin was started, b/c the contractions were just about unbearable.
little baby was born at 5:46 pm after pushing only about 20 mins.!

Glad to hear the baby is doing well and actually the weight isnt so bad for delivering 8 weeks early. Are you expected to stay in the hospital much longer? Boy its been so rough for you but I am glad you and the baby made it this far  Congrats on the baby

Congratulations! Glad to hear he was able to stay in to 32 weeks, good job mama!
Praying that his stay in the NICU is short and you have baby Cole home with you very soon.
