I'm done for a while...
my claims cleared.  According to the claim, I'm responsible for the full amount of my ER...at the full rate, not at their in network rate.    I don't know when we'll be trying again- w/ no insurance AND having to pay this back... we're going to be done forever or for quite a while.  I can't stop crying and I don't even know how to break this to my DH. I don't know what we're going to do...

I would ask for an appeal..maybe they will reconsider some of the claim?
Shannon, take the time to regroup. Pay some of the debt down and start over when you are ready.
It's so evil that we have to go through this and have the debt to boot.
You can get some donated meds..the procedure itself you may have to pay for, but maybe the clinic will let you pay it out?

Shannon! I am so sorry! But don't feel like it's forever, it's not forever, it's only right now. I know this isn't what you want right now. Take this time for yourself, to heal and renew. I am there right now, I needed it and didn't know I didn't it.

Thanks Dawn.   I put a call into Cigna b/c I think they billed me twice for the same thing (its an odd amount)- on 2 different claims and one was already paid- so I don't want to pay it again..... I also put a call into my dr's billing office and am waiting for a response I can't believe how sick I feel....

I'm so sorry! Keep asking the insurance company. If 1 person tells u no, try to speak with a supervisor or appeal the decision.

Hang in there and don't lose hope!! Keep at the ins comapny, talk to the RE's office and don't forget the grant...you can use it if you exhaust all other IF benefits!

I'm sorry It's bad enough that you have to deal with the stress of treatments to now have this added concern.
Can you speak with your Dr.'s office? The RE I just started seeing has a financial consultant in the office who works out payment terms.
I hope that you get this resolved, get a well-earned break, and can start the process again soon.

I actually used the grant for my first IVF cycle. But now that I have a BFN from an FET and another stim cycle... I'm not eligible anymore.

I'm so sorry. take some time to pay it off and than see where you and DH are. Maybe they can offer financing, or get a low interest personal loan, or even better a zero interest credit card.
You know you have my Gonal-F chilling in my fridge for you!
