I'm about to have a nervous breakdown. I hate living in an apt. in someone else's home.

I'm too old for this crap! My landlady blasts the TV. Keeps her door open and makes comments when I come and go, such as "where you going"? Oh, look at all that shopping you did. She also made a comment right after we got married 8 mo. ago "Why should you have kids, you're almost 40", you know its so expensive. DH was here 8 years before I moved in and he's so freaken laid back nothing bothers him. If the rent wasn't so cheap DH & I would have been out of here a long time ago. Please that I only have less than a few more months of this

Wow, I would have a hard time dealing with that. She asks you were you are going when you go out??? What are you, 16, and she is your mom??? COME ON!

I would have def told her something about the comments.


My landlord lives upstairs. He has 3 teenagers. They have no control over the kids and it's like party central upstairs. From the kids have shouting matches to the music blasting 1 or 2 am.

It's tough bc you live right upstairs so there is no avoiding the woman.. I would keep my answers to her questions very vague, that way you don't give her any information she doesn't need to know.. Good Luck

that is so hard, I have kinda been there, we were living with DH's parents for 10 months while our house was under construction, and i couldnt come and go as i pleased, they were constantly asking me where i am going, what time i will be back, when i went shopping they would make comments.

Its soooooo hard, just hang in there and hopefully you will be able to get out of there before you know it
