If you were a kid home on a summer day like today...
what would you be doing?
My days consisted of being out playing with my friends all day, only stopping when my mom called me for lunch and dinner....I went bike riding, played manhunt, went in my friend's pools, went to the park, played Barbie's in the yard, and of course got Mr.Softie!
I miss those days

I would be in the pool with my dog!! But instead I am waiting for the drywall guy to come and do 1 hours worth of work!!

Bike ride to friendlys'
Barbies
Ours or someone else's Pool
Wait for the ice cream man, then quickly run home for money, then it was time to go home for the evening.
Oh to be young again with no cares!

Swim team practice in the morning for two hours then off to the beach...then back home for another 1-1/2 hours of swim team practice.

On days likes these, I would be at our summer place in Maine....Spending the day with cousins & friends on the lake, going tubing, boating & fishing. We would only stop for lunch & dinner. Then at sundown, campfires!!!!

We were always at the beach, my mom would always take us.
Water balloon fights, we would play manhunt.
Ice pops from the icecream man that would melt down your wrists. Oh to be 8 again.

my BF lived across the street from me - she is one of 5 and I have one sister. On a day as hot as this - we would go over right after breakfast and go in the pool - we would try to break our last year record of how long we could stay in the pool (bathroom breaks allowed, of course). When it was time for lunch, ONE person was allowd out to grab food and we would hang over the sides and eat, keeping our feet in
I think the record was 11 hours???

In the pool, playing out side in the yard, riding bikes, walking around the neighborhood, laying in the yard on a beach towel with radio and 100ft extension cord to plug it in

Making mud pies
Climbing over the back fence ,sneaking thru a neighbors back yard to play with my friends in the neighborhood behind us.
Running like hell when my Dad blew the air horn...that meant I was in a world of trouble!
We were always gone from sun up to sun down!

When I was a kid I was in the pool all day. I could barely see at the end of the day from chlorine blindness.

Ahhhh the good ole days!!!!!!
When I didnt even care how hot it was.
At this time I would be running around in the fire hydrant. My mom liked us to go in it during the hottest part of the day. Then we would go home, shower, relax and eat. Then back out again!
Tag, manhunt, red light green light, any running game at all. We would be outside on the stoop for HOURS...all the way into the morning. It was AWESOME!!!!!!!! We used to sleep in in the morning though so at night we could do the same thing all over again. God I miss that!!!!

As hot as today? I'd be in my pool.
Not as hot, playing barbies with my friends, riding our bikes up and down the block, playing "school", maybe kickball.
Starting around Jr. High I used to layout in the pool from like 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and burn myself. I never tanned, just burned. To think of all that damage I did to my skin....ugh....
