Physical Thetapist or PA. I was pre-med and switched to education. Biggest mistake, if I had known PA was even a thing I probably would have went that route.

I was premed as well and have a bachelors in biology, but then went on to HS education. Like you, I would have either done PA (which I didn't know was a profession) or pharmaceuticals. Pharmacists seem to have good hours.
Eta: I do like my current job as a HS teacher but those are other things that interest me.

Thankfully, I'd do exactly what I do now......high-end fundraising for medical research and education. Love my day-to-day job - and love that I feel like I'm making a difference in the world.

I changed my career after 12 years in my former career and doing something I like better. Just trying to figure out what area I like the best.

If you could choose your profession / field now...
I would likely pick the same career path again- I am a neuroscientist;currently at home full time with my daughter. I love my field and I am looking forward to getting back to work later this year. If I could do it again I might do an Md/PhD program or go to veterinary school and become a veterinary behaviorist.

I am a teacher, and despite the stress I really do love what I do, and I know that I chose the right profession.
That being said, the other careers I would love would be:
Professional organizer
Neurosurgeon

I wish education would have worked out for me. I would love to be an Academic Advisor at a college or a librarian. Currently going back to school for my M.S. in Library Science.

I wanted to be an academic advisor. I loved helping my friends with scheduling, class choices, career paths, questions about the college. I was such a geek.
My academic advisor told me to get a master's in anything to be an aa but 8 years later I never even got an interview.
I'm a social worker and mostly love my job but in a non profit part time and not enough money for a single mom of 2. I have been applying though and sounds like i may have some leads. ..still social work and more clinical. Pray!
I also have interest in hairdresser, photography, but doubt I'd be good enough to make a living.

I can't think of even one thing I'd actually WANT to do... isn't that terrible?
I like the job I have now & I know I'm lucky to have it, but if I could go back to the start of college I would have either become:
a pharmacist (good money), or
a guidance counselor (for the summers off but you don't have to be in the classroom, sounds great)

Chef. I loooooove to cook, learn about different cooking techniques, read cookbooks, etc. I would most definitely go to culinary school!!!

I feel like a tool for being "that" person but, although not intentional, I guess I wouldn't change anything. I didn't imagine myself where I am but it all worked out so well. I majored in Economics/Marketing, started work as an Economist for the Federal gov't, got my MBA, and was able to go p/t in my position when I had kids with a ridiculously flexible schedule that allows time with my kids while doing work that I really enjoy.
Back in the day I'd never say "Federal Economist" but it kind of just worked out...
Back in High school I thought I wanted to work with kids because I loved babysitting, but it turns out I really don't like kids that aren't my own anymore

My DH keeps telling me life's to short to hate what you do everyday so I contemplate going back to school

In a dream world, I'd own a cute little cafe where I'd do all the cooking and baking. It would be type of place with cozy couches and fireplaces with lots of bookshelves with books people could read while they are there.

A question like this on a wedding message board in 2003 led to my decision to quit my job and pursue my "dream" job. I went to school for another 7 years. I'm a child psychologist.

Always loved taking pictures. I still hope to get there one day, but not while my kids are little. Maybe in a few years.
