No, we do not have the title.
I once bought a car off a lease - I made the payment to the bank I was leasing through, and they sent me the title in the mail.

Yes, I have the title. Technically, I don't think you can "lease" anymore because it can make the car companies liable. So you do a type of "buy" where you give the car back at a certain period of time. During the term of your "buy" period, you can do what you want with the car, you will just have to pay the whole note.

On a regular lease (which they don't really do anymore) you dont get the title. If it's one of those newer type leases, then you probably do have the title.

I have the title to my leased car. On a bit of a tangent to this... Does anyone know what can you do about getting out of a lease? I leased a brand new car last July and am having a ton of problems with it and just want to get rid of it.
