If someone wanted to become a personal trainer, what steps should they take?

There is a class to take to become certified. DH and some of his friends took it at Hofstra. I think it was about $500, but not positive on that. Good luck!

Thank you. Do you know it enables someone to do? How long did it take? Are they using their certifications now?

It was three full days, 8:30-5. As far as I know, no gym will hire you as a trainer without this certification. 5 of his friends did it. They all had full-time jobs so only one was able to get a part-time weekend job at a gym doing personal training. The gym takes a big cut, so I think he only makes about $17/hour.
