I don't think I've ever been in it, but I know that people have had parties hosted at Wickers in Hicksville right on the corner of 106 and OCR. It's in the CVS shopping center.

I believe that it's a smaller venue - so the min amount of people might not be so much...

Is there a specific area of Nassau that you are interested in? Western Nassau? North Shore? South Shore?

Love both of these restaurants.

I had both kids Christenings at Hemingways. We had about 30 people.

My bridal and baby showers were at Peppercorns. They were both also small.

Re: I need recommendations for a place in Nassau for christening PLEASE!!!

We had both christenings at Nick DiAngelo in Merrick. We were surprised that it wasn't as expensive as you'd expect. The food was delicious too! And you have the place to yourselves before they open the restaurant for dinner.

We also looked at Hemingways and I liked that place, but wasn't crazy about it being at the same time as their Sunday Brunch. It can get a bit nuts in there some mornings and I didn't want to deal with that.

I wouldn't have liked that either. Our ceremony was at 3pm, so we had an early dinner at 4:30ish in that front room, so we were kinda off by ourselves.

Check out Palmers in Farmingdale. A poster on here recommended them to us. The place is really nice and the food was delicious. I found them to be reasonable also!

We are looking too, On my list to check out are Singletons, Plattdeutche (sp?), Koenigs, Peppercorn's, Milleridge. I am still trying to find other places, so if I find any I will pass them along. I plan to go looking in the next few weeks, once I am cleared to drive!!

I would have recommended the George Washington Manor in Roslyn but you want a central location.

Peppercorn is very good.

Re: I need recommendations for a place in Nassau for christening PLEASE!!!

I just did Cafe Symposio in Bellmore - they have two sides so depending on the number of people depends on what you get. I had a lot of people so had the big side and all went well.

Some places I visited -
Antonettes in Bellmore has a private room up to 75 not sure min. Also Fabios in Merrick and Matteos in Bellmore have small private rooms (I think max of like 30 people). Piccolos in Bellmore does a lot of events too and I don't think that expensive. Hemingways in Wantagh is nice and has options depending on number of people but they wanted me to start at 4pm which was too late for me. They have Sunday brunch and I needed the entire loft area since I had over 60 people and they wouldn't do it before 4pm.
