My daughter had to have anesthesia for a procedure 2x already and she is only 4 months old. I did a lot of research on it and have an old friend who is a anesthesiolgist who gave me some good advice. I was told to make sure #1 that it's a pediatric anesthesiolgist handling his case. They sometimes have whoever is on call since they are all trained for 6 weeks during residency in pediatrics. 2nd, make sure the anesthesiolgist is the person handling your son. They have assistants often administer the medication and the anesthesiologist will monitor up to 3-4 patients at a time. I requested both of these and I was glad I did.
