The choice is between Pearle and Lens Crafters. but LC's seems to be so expensive compared to Pearle!

DH paid almost $200 less at Pearle than at LC's... for the same exam + glasses & contacts.

I am covered for an eye exam + 1 pair of glasses up to $125.

both locations are very close to me.

does anyone have any feedback?

eta: DH's experiences were from before we had vision coverage.

This probably doesn't help, but I go to Davis--are they an option for you?

If you go to Pearl and are a AAA member, there is a 30% discount. Just thought I'd mention it.

Does your health insurance allow you to go to an opthamalogist for your eye exams? I much prefer to go to an MD for my eye exams...

Personally, I'd go with one of them.

i would do that if you can.... i went to a Lens Crafters when i was away at school and they were terrible. they gave me glasses 3x the right strength and i had headaches. where are you located... i have a great one in RVC. i have had various types of insuracne over the years and he always took it.

If Dr. Craing in Lindenhurst (Lindy Eye Care) is on the list I highly recommend him. I have never had such good care, nor DH, since we have both been wearing glasses. He is fantastic & very thorough.
