I got FREE Starbucks though a Randonm Act of Kindness today!!!!!
The secertary went for our weekly Frappacinos this morning to the Starbucks in Bethpage.
She pulls around to pay after ordering.
She holds her $ out & the girls says "Oh no...it's free today!".
So the secretary is like "WHAT? Why!!!"
The counter girl says "We have a lady who comes in occasionally. She pays for her coffee & leaves $100 with us to buy for the next say 20 people who order! She ONLY asks that you in return do something nice for someone else today!"
How cool is that?!!! This is the first time I have EVER been the reciver of a Random Act of Kindness!!!
I wil return the favor tomorrow to someone!!

I'm thinking that when I get my bagel & coffee in the morning...I will give her enough to cover for someone she thinks deserves it! (I know the girl in the bagel shop....I'll trust her judgement!)

oh wow that is really cool
once i saw a man go into a starbucks in manhattan, buy a large hot chocolate (it was winter) and come out and hand it to the homeless person sitting outside - she was so shocked!

That is wonderful! I also became a receiver of a random act of kindness just 2 days ago.
About 3 weeks ago we were leaving for Poconos. DH and I were leaving the building, loaded with bags and toys for our son who was already spending the weekend there with my parents. As we were walking out through the front door of the lobby I suddenly see a set of keys on the floor. I couldn't just leave them there. I felt really bad for whoever lost them! So, I put down all the stuff I was carrying, go back inside the building and place the keys on the window frame in the lobby. When we came back a week later, the keys were gone. I am hoping the owner found them.
Fast forward to this Tuesday. All three of us are home and we are getting ready to feed Benjamin dinner. All of a sudden somebody rings our door bell. DH opens the door and there is a woman there handing him my keys! He left them in the mailbox keyhole because when we were coming up that day Benji was in one of his bad moods and DH was really frustrated and must have just spaced out for a little.
It was so nice of that woman to bring it to our apartment! I would have been going crazy in the morning looking for them! I said to DH: She was kind to us because last week we were kind to that person who lost his keys in front of the lobby door!
