I feel lost...07 mommies

In 2007 so many of us had babies and it was so helpful and easy to follow each other. We all had our questions and there was so much advice on those topics...I always felt like I was right on track with Lucas' needs.

Now I feel lost...after coming from such a big group I worry that I won't be on top of things. I don't remember when I did things with Lucas...when and how we started solids...how we moved on to new things.

There are still a ton of new mommies on here. You may just have to rely on some new friends. I know that a ton of us had babies in the Nov/Dec time period last year.

Liek you I found tons of support on here for my 2007 baby. And I did FORGET everything for my 2009 baby--

Did u keep daily books for Lucas? I looked back on Chris's books to get ideas of when I should be doing things for Carlo

I also found support from 2009 mommies and I am sure 2010 mommies are on here

i think we had a nice group in 2007 too but i think we can resurface a new one too:)

I only kept books on what he ate and what I pumped for the first 2 months...I never wrote down things like how I started the solids and how he progressed.

I don't want to come off like I only want the 2007 group...I want a 2009/2010 group I want to see the posts that update everyone...very few people do progression pictures and I wish they would because everyone's children are so adorable and it would be nice to get to know people again.

I don't want a clique group to form...I wish people woudl just feel comfortable to post in general and I know I have to do it too.

I want to talk to more people!!!!!

Ask away... doesn't mean I'll have the answer, but I try my best from my experience (with only 10 months experience... well, almost 11 months).

Well, I'm an 07 mommy and an 09 mommy just like you so we can keep tabs on each other

I don't post nearly as much about Owen (my 09 baby) as I did with DD just because my mind is not as focused on the baby stuff as it was when I had my first.

I'm going to have to rely on the new first time mommies to get me through

Awe Ang We are here!!!!

It's just much harder to post about every little thing (at least that's what I'm finding) since I've got Bella to keep me occupied.

I had SO much more down time when it was just Bella and I. But now...I swear it's like I'm NON-stop from the moment I wake up until I get them down for bed.

I don't remember ANYthing either Sometimes I'm like "Did I even have a baby already???"

But thanks to the search engine here on LIF I can check back and see where I was at a particular time.

You KNOW if you need absolutely ANYthing...I (we) am here for you!!!!!

I am the same way as Crankypants - I dont focus too much. I just go with the flow. DS is 10/06 and DD is 09/09 I cant believe in 3yrs how much stuff I forgot! I just take it as it comes with DD but I do enjoy seeing all the other new mom's post and how the DC are advancing.

Ang - I'm a 2008 mommy and still forget A LOT with Colin in 2009. Amazing what you forget

But, like Chelle said, I use the search here and there to see what I did with Ryan, and when all else fails - ask. There are plenty of us on here that are in new baby/infant mode ready to help you out! And don't feel bad for not remembering it all - who the heck can remember how we got by in those initial months with no sleep??? It's all a fog!!

i forgot most things too but had some good posts bookmarked. i wing it with zach but you're right it's not the same. 07 did rock!

Once you are getting sleep, you will get back in the swing of things. I actually found that I was totally different with my second than my first. I was much more laid back with Tommy and also let him try things (foods) much sooner than I did Amanda. He also hit many milestones before Amanda did as he was just trying to keep up. I think you will notice Gregory doing stuff earlier than Lucas did anyhow because he will be watching and copying his big brother.

Ang, whenever Tyler turns a new month I go back and search from when Jack was the same age. I will read and see what he was doing/sleeping/eating around that time. It's really been a great guide.

Also, I find it very helpful to make update posts now "6 month babies come on in" to get a feel for what's going on.

And, you always have us! Chelle and I are just a few steps ahead of you so luckily it will be fresh in our minds (well, hopefully it will be )

I had my DD in 07 and just had my DS in Oct 09. I really don't remember much either....I think its the sleep deprivation. I don't get a chance to come on and post that often, but if you ever have a question, feel free to FM! I will be up late tonight I'm sure as we are starting CIO. I'm a nervous wreck!
