What a pric k, I mean Im sure the argument will be he did know if she was dangerous, but I think it was a bit much. He practicly pulled her out of the car. He had to tell her put it in park. and the comment "now you wont see him, because you are going to jail" was

I think they are both idiots!!
She is an azz for pulling off, and he needed to recognize her "state of mind".
She was obviously distraught and not thinking clearly.
I'm biased as my DH is a cop but he didn't know who this lady was, she took off on him 1x he was ultimately protecting himself but he clearly used excessive force.
Now... if this lady had a knife or a weapon, could have been lying etc. his behavior would have been warranted.
You just never know what kind of person you are dealing with.

Exactly. I haveto wonder what kind of excuses cops hear these days, not saying he is right but she drove away whenshe shouldn't have. If she could have just been calm for a few little minutes.

it seems that i'm a minority here.
i saw it on good morning america. she was on this morning.
i fell that SHE is the one who was wrong! he doesn't know who/what she is or if she's lying. his life is on the line every day.
yes, he was a bit rough, but put yourself in his shoes. how many cops don't get KILLED when they pull someone over.
she should have just sat there and let hime do his job quickly. it's not like she could save her father's life at that point.

I do agree that she did need to be cuffed and restrained at that point without questions asked.
Was he supposed to have a conversation with her @ that point?

She was turning into the entrance to the hospital so that is your first clue that she is not lying.
And her reasoning was that he had all her info and they could give her the ticket later.
I would not have sat there and waited for him to write a ticket while thinking my father was dying.

cops must hear every excuse in the book and if you think about it that is not a very original one. (even though it was true).
But she was wrong for driving away...that was way dumb.
I think he was a little harsh for pulling her out of the car and the comment about her dad was not so nice, but technically regardless of circumstances she was wrong.
