I can't believe I did it....Iphone related
I actually switched to AT&T for the Iphone from Verizon....something I thought I would never do.
I'm not going to lie..I'm scared...I know AT&Ts service is not as good as Verizons but I've been dying for the Iphone and after waiting so long for Verizon to get the Iphone I finally gave up I'll be sad to say goodbye to Verizon but I'm excited about my Iphone

Isn't iphone ended their service agreement with AT&T and giving it to Verizon? I think this happens in 2011.

I switched this year too! After years of being on verizon but FH has AT&T and never had an issue with it. We wanted to get family plan but it didn't work out but I went with AT&T to get the iphone.
And I loooove it! Well, I love the iphone lol, I do get spotty service sometimes but I did with verizon also so who knows.
Yay! Congrats! IPhone changed my life

I'm not sure. They've been saying next year for the past 2 years. I just didn't want to sign another contract with Verizon for two years and then still be waiting for the Iphone so I bit the bullet. If they do give Verizon the Iphone I'll go back to Verizon
AT&T does give you a 30 day return policy but something tells me I'm going to love the phone too much to return it

People love the iPhone with no true reason besides its an iPhone.
There are so many great choices of OS out there cause really thats all that separates the phones.
Personally between coverage (i use to have an iPhone) and price, its not worth having a certain phone.
Im glad your happy with your decision...don't get me wrong, its a cool phone.

I hope you like it. I just recently changed from ATT to Verizon. I had the iphone and now have the droid. I have to say as much as I loved the iphone....the droid is just as good. It does all the same things and yes they do not have as many apps but really do you need 4 million apps.

we've been a verizon family since 1999.
My husband just made the decision to switch to AT&T because of the i-phone. He got it on Tuesday. I kind of felt like he was breaking a piece of us up. LOL...not seriously but I thought we would never leave.
Then on Monday my job informed me that they are switching all of their plans to AT&T. So if I want them to continue to pay for my number I have to switch also. So now we're both going to AT&T.
Ironic.

I was originally going to upgrade to the Droid Incredible but I kept thinking of the Iphone. I figure I'll try the Iphone if the service is that bad I'll go back to Verizon and get the Incredible. I just didn't want to sign another 2 year contract with Verizon wondering what if with the Iphone..at least if I get to try it for myself and don't like it I can always say I at least tried. I feel like a dork reasoning with myself but as the poster above said I feel like I'm breaking up a family leaving Verizon

I had Verizon for years, and then switched to AT&T when I got married (my fam is on Verizon, DH is on ATT) and i have to say I don't see a big problem with ATT. Actually I get service in some places that Verizon doesn't - like in the back office at my job which is helpful when the phones go down...constantly...so I can get in touch with my tech dept. The only places that I lose service are the same places where my family loses service on Verizon.
Actually I recently read an article (in the NY Times?) that said the biggest problems with ATT's 3G network is in parts of Manhattan and San Fransisco...which also has some of the largest population of iPhone users - who tend to be more tech savvy and prone to blog/tweet/etc about it, therefore causing a lot of the hype.
PS - I think you'll love the iPhone - I personally think it rocks!! I had the 3G for the past two years and just updated to the 4 - I love it!!!!

I have no problems with ATT service at all.
My DH does when he's at work in the city. Unless you are in Manhattan, the service complaints don't really apply.

i am waiting for my contract with Verizon to be up mid september and i want to switch to the iphone. I have had verizon for years but love the iphone ( my sis has it). Im a little nervous about service but you guys made me feel much better about the switch
