I bought coconut oil... now what do i do with it?
People rave about the benefits of coconut oil. What do YOU use it for?

Making popcorn- amazing.
A tablespoon in my morning smoothies for a healthy fat.
I don't care for it on my skin- too hard to work with- when at room temp- it just crumbles.
Then it's greasy, yet to me, doesn't moisturize any better than Suave lotion.

DH cooks with it a ton. He uses it instead of cooking spray for eggs, quesadillas, etc. We buy refined so it doesn't have any odor or taste. I use it as moisturizer for myself and my LOs. I keep it in the shower and rub it between my hands to melt it, then rub it on, then rinse at the end of my shower or the girls' baths. It works great and doesn't leave us sticky or greasy that way.

Some people use it as a mouth swish for about ten minutes to help with gum health.

Cooking. So great with fried rice! In shakes or smoothies.
I use it to make my own body products, oil pulling, diaper rash creme, body moisturizer, I use to make any doors or hinges stop squeaking (like instead of wd-40 - it's a natural bug repellent too).

Use in pan when.making pancakes, grease pans, dry skin patches. Used on a squeaky door hinge one time..worked!

I don't use any other cookng oil anymore. I only use coconut oil. We also use it instead of butter on toast, etc. I love it!

If you use a hand mixer you can whip it so it makes it more like a lotion and it is easier for you to use .

Yes you need refined. There is no taste to refined.
