I am so upset and mad right now I dont know what to do
The school nurse called today and told me 5yr old DD came to her office and got ice for a bump and cut that is on her forehead and DD told her she just notice that she had a bump and wanted ice. so nurse called and told me and I said ok thank you for calling (this was at 3 and school is over at 3:30)
so DD came home from school and did her homework and played outside and didnt say anything about it until dinner ....I asked her to show me her head and asked what happened and she said she didnt know
then she said she fell outside at gym but then she looked at me and said John chased me with a bat and hit me on the head
I know a few kids who have a problem with this boy already and the parents dont speak English so I cant even call and speakto them
I dont know whether to write the teacher a note or go straight to the principal

That is just awful! I would go to the teacher and explain that you want this brought to the principles attention asap. That is just crazy.

what!!! I would walk right into the principals office and demand to speak to him/her NOW- do you know how seriously hurt your DD could have gotten from a bat to the head? this kid needs to be dealt with!
I hope your DD is feeling ok

my daughter doesnt want me to tell on this boy but I HAVE to
I think I wll have to take her to school tomorrow and tell the principal.....but I am afraid that if I do tell DD wont ever tell me anything agin

I would talk to the teacher first. I am a teacher and I would want to opportunity to deal with things before you went over my head. My principal has a real thing about "chain of command." Not only that, the teacher may know more about "little Johnny" than the principal does. JMO

I would talk to the teacher first. As the previous poster said, the teacher probably knows more about this child then the principal.
Something should be done though, your daughter could have gotten very hurt.

just spoke with DH and told him about going to the teacher first but he is calling the principal....he wants to know where the gym teacher was while this boy was Chasing our DD and hitting her with a bat oh and he hit her with the bat and she hit her head on the metal pole from the swingset
