I am seriously having the worst self esteem day
I wear lipstick everyday. I haven't for several days b/c I have a cold sore. This woman in my office told me I don't look as pulled together. She was about to say "pretty." OMG......

aw, thanks. i am not wearing lipstick here anymore, just to make a statement! I get my feelings hurt really easily and have low self esteem to start with. This just blew.

Seriously people do not think. Since being PG i have stopped wearing makeup b/c it burns from my skin being so sensitive(and I wear bare escentuals, so there is no where to go from there). I only put on lip gloss & that is it. I cannot tell you how many people said things to me like "Oh you must be having a girl b/c the baby is stealing your beauty" REALLY? I am so glad you think my looks are "going"

Don't take it to heart! She clearly didn't think before she spoke!
I did that once at my first job - told someone they looked like they weren't feeling well only to be told she had just washed her face.  I never ever comment anymore. But that is partly why I made a point of not wearing makeup to work for years. If you miss one day people think you look sick. If you never wear it, the one day you do people think you look fantastic. and they also think you have a job interview or are cheating on your DH - you can't win.

oh that is so mean! here's a hint, regarding BE. It has bismuth oxychloride, which can make some people itch and burn. You may want to try Physician's Formula Talc Free Mineral Wear pressed powder. I wear it...then we can be ugly, non pulled together friends! HA HA!

I was rocking my new hair color in the nail salon the other day and while I was waiting for them to dry this woman goes, "that is a pretty color on your nails, but you're SO fair and I have such dark skin that it would probably look different on me" - it totally hurt my feelings b/c I am so sensitive about my skin color (so white). People just don't think before they say things out loud.

Yes... people are really friggin rude sometimes...usually because they themselves are miserable and want to feel better about themselves....that said...you are absolutely Beautiful with lipstick or without...dont let the comment affect you negatively

Gah! Thanks....I called my mom and told her what this woman said to me and she said: What is FRIGGING wrong with people! Then she told me if I personally feel that tied to wearing it, I need to stop and try and find something else I can admire about myself. I guess I think it brightens my face, but I seriously am now wondering if everyone else finds me this icky lately....
