I am about to quit my job...
I am seriously so upset right now.
I am happily going along on this show that is soooo hard, but I am having a blast with and I get called over to the main building for a meeting about the other stuff I do.
Blindsided...totally blindsided with the fact that everything I have been doing for NO money no matter how much I tell them I need some to do a good job basically isn't up to snuff...and now that they HAVE money, they want to give it to someone else!!! Refocus was the word used I believe.
I want to quit...I am daydreaming about being a SAHM right now and if it would work...(it wouldn't, I have the benefits)
This thing I am doing right now is something I worked out as something extra to do...
I called my dad hysterical, I can't concentrate on the edit...why is this happening?

Kelly I'm SO SORRY!!
Can you ask them to give you another chance with some actual money to show them what you could do if you had an adequate budget?
It sucks that they blindsided you with this!!

Thanks everyone...I honestly wanna just crawl in a hole...but my mind is racing a million miles in how I can swing this...maybe this is another sign that this isn't right for me anymore...

well, take it from me...do what makes you happy. i don't know if you remember my posts but I was at a new job ...started on July 31st and was there for a little over a month. It was AWFUL and I didn't care how bad it looked for me to quit...I did it anyway, and now I have a new job that starts tomorrow and is wayyyyyyyyy closer to home.
You never have to stay somewhere that isn't right for you...there is always a situation that is better.

Kelly, there are no words to actually make you feel better, but I want you to know that I feel just the same way as you do.
Maybe we could start a support group.....or our own business!!!!!
I hope you feel better soon and find a way to work it out, I really do.....

Please do what makes you happy..no reason to work "for the man" and be miserable.

I felt like this for most of the month of August. Luckily, things are improving and my days at work are better.
Hang in there. As tempting as it might be, don't make any big decisions when you are this upset.

Been here for 7 years and up until my boss left for another channel, I loved my job and was well taken care of...
no one has my back anymore and it's sad. I can't just quit because you can't just open the NYTimes and look for a job in my business

Ohhhhh Kelly, I'm so sorry... you know first-hand that I know EXACTLY what you are going through... it's the worst thing in the world when you pride yourself on your work and accomplishments, and then your work ethic is questioned... I would take a day or two to mull this over, and if you have a response, go over it carefully and meet back with them to discuss further... if all else fails, I'm 100% sure you've gained more than enough experience and credibility to find another job in a similar field...

There ya go, hit him where he lives! I hate hearing things like this especially since you have gone to them about the need for more money and they dropped this on you so suddenly.
I know how it feels to want out so badly and yet you feel stuck because of finances, benefits, etc. Hope things start to look up
