hypospadias surgery next day question

Dr said to stop prescription pain killer and bladder spasm medication today. Had surgery yesterday morning. Seems to be doing good but pain killer due to wear off soon. They said if he in pain to resume but I feel like giving it to him is preventative I don't want him to feel pain first and wait for it to kick in but don't want to over medicate either. Do you remember how long you did meds for after?

I think we might have just done Tylenol after. You could try that first and if he seems uncomfortable then just go back to pain meds. Sorry I don't remember the details as it was 4 years ago. Good Luck
