How the heck do you get Poly Vi Flor down w/o them gagging?
This stuff smells like horse poo - I can't imagine what it tastes like! I don't want to fight w/ him to get it down...any suggestions?

does he gag on it or are you anticipating that he will?
Because when everyone said how gross it was I just used to put it into Aidans juice or cereal, then I gave it to him one day via squirt in the mouth and realized, he LIKES it!

Andrew su<cks the dropper dry. He loves it and when I say its vitamin time, he comes right over.

I always add it to the first milk of the day. Never a problem and its something I know they would drink all of it and will get the whole dose. My friend's sons teeth are discolored from the iron by giving it to him straight from the dropper. I never even thought of straight from the dropper

in her cereal. She would gag on it and spit it out if i gave it to her from the dropper. Plus once when she was sick she actually threw up when I gave it to her

I read (yikes... I think it was in the pamphlet that first came with them) that its not supposed to be mixed with milk. Something about the vitamins not being able to absorbed with calcium.... I could be wrong, but thats why I give it to him at lunch with juice/water or when he won't have milk for a while.
ETD: Here are the links- under "How to Use This Medicine" it states about the absorption of fluoride being decreased by milk and dairy products.

MY son would puke everytime I gave it to him. I mix it with his fruit - at first he would avoid the fruit - must have still tasted it but then eventually he didn't care any more - after a day or two.
My dr said not to mix with formula or milk. But fruit or other baby food is ok and the dr suggested I do that if he did not take it from the dropper or a spoon.

Michael takes it right from the dropper as well - he LOVES it... he gets it right before he brushes his teeth - it's like a treat!

I stick the dropper in Jared's mouth but to the left side and all the way in the back....not like I'm gagging him, but just past the taste buds.

I mix it with the cereal, but put it in the small amount of formula I portion out for the sitter. Maybe I should have her put it in the fruit or veggie instead.

Logan loves it too. After I change his first diaper of the day I show him the bottle and he starts wiggling around and laughing. I give it to him and he s*cks it right up...He loves it!

Andrew also gets it in his jarred fruit. Otherwise, if he sees that dropper coming and his mouth is clamped shut!!
