How often do you go to the dry cleaner?

I bring in clothes about every 2 weeks, and every 2 weeks my dry cleaning bill is over $100!! Does that seem like a lot to you?

Do you wear things more than once before you dry clean them? The hell am I doing wrong?

I could go once a week but I try to wear everything and pile it up before I go b/c I don't want to go so often.

once every 2 weeks and it's about $50, but I'm not working so it's almost 100% DH's stuff....if I was working it would def be over $100 every 2 weeks, so it sounds like you're right about average to me!

Never, I try and do everything myself in my own machine. ITs too expensive. I wear suits/business wear everyday and still wash it & iron myself. I can't imagine spending that kind of money for someone to wash my clothes.

I keep a mesh bag in my closet where I put my dry cleaning. When the bag is full enough to get in the way, I take it in. More often in the winter than the summer, because almost all of my summer clothes are machine washable.

We go about once every two weeks, but our bill is never even close to that high -- and everything we BOTH wear to work has to be dry cleaned.

We definitely wear things more than once before we have them dry cleaned, except shirts and anything that got wrinkled or dirty.

Me too... By the time I go the pile is so high I dread going because I know when I bring it home I have to take it out of all that plastic and crap... THAT'S THE WORST PART!! For the price I pay someone should bring it home for me and put it away nicely in my closet

I got every 2 weeks or more. I wear somethings more than one before I get them dry cleaned, especially my suits. since I wear stocking and a blouse with all of them, its not like they are right against my skin.

During the warmer weather, I get things cleaned more often

Mine was insane when I worked..about $100.00 - $125.00 a week. Since I dont work its about $40.00 a week.

Once a week. DH and his dress shirts and pants. He pays about $50 a week

We go once every 2 weeks. DH gets his suits and dress shirts dry cleaned and I get my work pants. I buy shirts that are machine washable, wear my pants several times before getting them cleaned and DH does the same with his suits. He rarely wears the jackets so we put those in less.

We spend about $40 when we go.

I would love to try those dryer sheets that are supposed to freshen your dry cleanables. Sounds like they would save $ and I hate that the cleaners use these chemicals on my clothes.

You should shop around. I went from paying $150 every two weeks to $80 every two weeks at my new place.

They give me a "quantity discount" and I like the job they do better!!!

once every two weeks. We used to do it once a week. Our bill is about $80. DH may bring in shirts midweek but that's only about $10. We get a 10% discount from our drycleaner. Everything we wear to work is dry cleaned.

I agree, some of the chemicals they use don't smell so good. Sometimes I smell it and sometimes I don't.

The chemicals they use are not so good for you, hence the headaches. Definitely take the plastic off the clothes ASAP and let them air out.
