How much time does your OB spend with you during a check up?
Lately I feel like my OB rushes through a check up and it makes me feel a bit uneasy . He'll run in, do a quick doppler, asa he hears the HB he is done, doesn't even listen to it for more than a sec. then does a quick internal and that's it. He doesn't ask me anything, doesn't say anything during a check up , nothing. He does tell me to go into his iffice to discuss whatever questions I have , but even then I feel like he is not really 100% with me. Like today he brought up my preterm labor and asked about my CS, why I got it and said "we never discussed these things, I just pulled up your file " (he also said "I presume you want another CS?" when we have discussed it few times and he already subbmited my info and insurance approved me :/ ) I said umm yes we did, few times actually ...
So I'm starting to feel like he doesn't give me enough time and isn't really listening.
I was happy with him in the beggining, but the last 2 visits I left very unhappy

Oh and today I overheard him "yelling" at the front desk people, telling them he is all triplle booked, I heard him say " why does this person have 10 min for a check up, 5 min tops , that's all I need with her" so that made me upset (it wasn't about me, it was someone else he was talking about, I was standing right there)
The thing is that he is one of THE best high risk OBGYNs , I did so much research and finally found him after so many recommendations from doctors and patients. So I don't know what to think...

4.2 seconds or less. 
Well last time he actually spent time, but from what I heard its not normal. I'm also with a peri so I'm seen regularly.

She probably spends about 5 minutes with me. Comes in - checks heartbeat, measures my belly and asks if I have any questions. She'll also let me know what will happen at next appt if it is something different (like glucose test or if I need to go for a sonogram). She doesn't really know me at all, and sometimes it annoys me, but now that I am going more often, I am just grateful that I don't have to wait too long to see her and I am in an out of the office in under an hour - sometimes in just 30 minutes.

It feels like a really long time with my dr. She does not rush us out and answers all our questions. She will ask if we have questions and if we say no she stands and waits for us to ask questions LOL

mine spends a long time, even though I want him to be quick, especially since I see him during lunch hours at work. He does sonos in his office and he really sits there and analyzes everything on the screen, which i guess is good but bad for me since i have to get back to work!

not long. the nurse does most of the asking of the questions and shes the one that checks the hb. i dont even go into the office after that. the doc comes in the exam room goes over whatever the nurse didnt, ask if i have any questions and thats it. i say less than 5mins. im sure that will change once i have more weeks under my belt

He usually spends about 10 min with me. Once the MA takes my BP and weight and stuff. If I have any questions I keep him but, I admit sometimes I feel like he is rushed and I'm keeping him.

Mine would spend as long as I needed him. 5 mins or 45 mins. Whatever I had going on or questions about. He never rushed me. Always made me feel like I was his only patient. And that why I love my dr!!!!

I rarely feel rushed ~ my dr or np usually go over everything that is happening with urine results etc what is going on in the coming appts ~ then we have question/answer time or if I have any concerns or how I am feeling. Sometimes I feel like I rush to get out of there (I usually have my 3 1/2 yr old with me and he gets in patient sometimes)

 sounds typical.. I have mostly been seeing midwifes for this pregnancy and I do not feel rushed at all. My appts. are usually around 15mins but would be longer if I had questions (I usually dont). I think Doctors tend to run through appts rather quickly but if you had questions they really should not rush you. Ive seen a few Doctors during my pregnancy and although they do rush they still are willing to answer all of my questions.

5 minutes. I always have to push my questions on her. Otherwise, I feel like she wouldn't give me a chance to ask them or something... I always have to be like OK PAUSE. I have some questions and I get so nervous with her because of how quick it goes, I pull out a paper with questions and start quickly going through the list (I usually only have 5 and even then I feel like that is too many to ask her and sometimes skip 1 or 2 in the moment) but then afterwards I regret it!!! So just make sure you demand the time you need to get what you want done. Don't let him leave the room until you feel comfortable.

5-10 minutes, but I feel like she takes the time to answer any questions I have. She comes in, asks me how I'm feeling, how the baby's moving, does a doppler, then discusses anything she needs to mention or any questions I have. I do wait for her for quite awhile, but I love her. She knows me and my history, and I feel like I'm getting her complete attention when she's with me.

10 minutes are so.
She is very receptive to any questions I have.
They really do book these doctors on tight schedules. It can be annoying.

5 minutes or less now that the visits are routine. However, he'll always stay longer if I ave questions or if he's concerned about something. I don't mind the quick visits because I've been feeling good and don't have many q's at this point.

Depends...she never rushes me. She will sit go over any questions I have tell me what she recommends. Last week she sat after my exam and we discussed my nail color lol...she is awesome. She treats you like she has known you forever!

Same here! It's literally a few seconds. But I'm seen for at least 30 minutes at my peri's office.

I've only had one appt so far this time, but it's the same Dr I saw with DD. Routine check-ups are about 10 minutes and he always asks what's on my mind.
He actually set up an appt with me in between the 8 week and 12 week b/c he wants to go over my bloodwork in case we need to tweak my prescriptions.
I love him! Once I told him that if he ever retires I'm getting rid of my uterus
Thank goodness he's young!!!

30-60 minute wait in waiting room.. 20-30 min wait in the exam room.. 5-10 min exam.. if I do have tons of questions he will tell me to meet him in his office.. otherwise it's a quickie.

When Drs say meet me in my office do they meet you right away or do you wait another 20 minutes for them? Why can they just answer your 5 mins of questions right there?!?
