i guess it would depend on what i'm looking for...for my guest room it would be much less than for my master bedroom.

It would depend on what size and for whom. In our master bedroom we have a king sized bed and paid $2700 for the set! I would NOT pay that for a bed for a guest room.

honestly, if it is for me there is no amount of money that I can put on a good nights sleep. As long as you are getting what you paid for, then sky's the limit.

honestly....this was our first new bed and mattress and money was tight. We saw a flyer for a Mattress Expo that had a King size pillow top on sale with a coupon for $599. We bought it...it's a Southerland. We are quite happy with it and we know it's just for now.

It's so much more comfy than what we were sleeping on and we still plan on investing on a GREAT mattress when we have moeny saved up (I want the sleep number mattress!)

we paid around 4950 I think and its so so , not a cheap one, not a great one, but you usually have mattress' for a long time, so I could see spending at least $1000 on one.

We spent ALOT on our mattress but I have to say it was the first time in both of our lives that we actually had a GOOD mattress and there is SUCH a difference!! The first few months we had it were the best slept nights I had EVER had!! Worth every penny!

If it is a bed that you yourself are going to sleep in for years...then spend the extra money and splurge....get the best bed you canthat you feel most comfortable with. Most people don't realize that you spend a lot of time in bed and a good nights res is important and a good bed helps.

I got a really good King Sized mattress from Seamans for $1200. I think that was close to their top of the line mattress.

When I got married at Oheka, the bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept on. I knew my mattress at home was bad but I realized just how bad it was after sleeping there! As soon as I got back from my honeymoon, I went to the mattress place (I forget which one - I think it was Sleppys) because I wanted it! Then I found out it was $4k. Needless to say we didn't get it. We wound up going to a non chain mattress place and got a pillow top Queen for $800. It is so comfy!
