Would you spend $200 on a hair dryer?

I found this awesome hair dryer that has gotten good reviews but it's $200. DH thinks this is too much. I don't considering the fact that my hair dryers break often.

Would you buy a hair dryer this expensive?

Re: Would you spend $200 on a hair dryer?

are you buying it for a salon?
what does it do aside from blow hot air?

if not, then I think $200 for a hair dryer is excessive. I have had the same hair dryer for 10 years and I use it every single day!

Definitely not... way too much money.

Most of the time I air dry my hair and then straighten it.

I would honestly spend that much just b/c I have curly hair and straigjten,, I have seen the magic a blow drytrer can do in making the process MUCH easier.. I say if it will help, then it's worht the investment... jmo

What kind of hair dryer is it that makes it $200?

To answer your question, no I don't think I'd spend that much

Depends on the features- I probably would if it would make dying my hair easier.

Re: Would you spend $200 on a hair dryer?

When I was working in that industry I had a dryer that was about $250. It was made by Solano...the thing rocked. Not sure if I would spend that kind of cash now though. I guess it depends on how you use the dryer. If you are styling it every day (like blowing it straight) then it may be worth it for you. Just make sure it has a good warantee.

Re: Would you spend $200 on a hair dryer?

Nope I wouldn't.. so don't think a hair dryer is worth it. Mine is still going about 6 years and I only paid 20 bucks for it.

Re: Would you spend $200 on a hair dryer?

$200 might be pushing it for me but I did pay about $140 for my Solano. It's AMAZING. Just don't tell DH Chat Icon When he asked how much I said, "what wouldn't be crazy to spend on a hair dryer?" He said $40 Chat Icon so I said yup, that's just what it was Chat Icon

I wouldn't but that's because I'm hair-impaired and am convinced that nothing can help me. I've certainly spent $200 in useless gels, creams, etc to keep my hair from looking like the 80's big hair days.

I wouldn't since I don't do anything spectacular with it but if it would make your hair look great or save you a lot of time, I would.

YES, my dryer breaks every few months, so with that said...buying a more expensive hairdryer would definitely be cost effective for me. I just don't cause I like this one kind with the attachment piece.

Go for it!!

Re: Would you spend $200 on a hair dryer?

The one that I am looking at is a T3 Tourmaline Ionic hair dryer. I normally wouldn't spend this much but my hair dryers break almost yearly and I just want to purchase something good that won't break so fast.

Check to see if they sell it at ULTA. Ulta sends out 20% coupons or i think you can download them online. I did this when i purchased my $150 hairdryer. Then you don't have to feel as guilty because it will only be $160! And the $150 hair dryer was totally worth it.....
