We are joining the Y by us. It has the gym, classes and a pool. For a family membership, 2 adults and 1 child, it's $78.00 per month with no contract.

NYSC: $65 a month, I think I paid a $50 initiation fee.. I did a 2 year contract... this was like 3 years ago though....

i go to Planet Fitness. it was $20 for me to start, $10 a month with no contract. i pay month to month. i also have to pay a $10 fee once a year to ensure my low monthly rate.

Initiation Fee of $180 (I think....but I got it discounted because my brother is friends with the managers brother!!)

I pay $49 a month at LA Fitness, right now its frozen due to my pregnancy just ending, so I am currently paying $10 a month.
I dont remember the start up fee, I have been a member for quite awhile

Yes, it's in the Centereach Mall and just opened a few months ago. I've been going for a little over a month and really like it.

I pay $136 a month and it was $195 initiation. It is Equinox. My husband got $0 initiation, 4 free training sessions, a 50 minute massage and $100 credit to the sportswear shop since he joined under my family plan. We also pay $136 a month for him.
I love Equinox, but to be honest, I would have joined the less expensive local gym if DH's ex wife didnt go there. I really dont need to run into her at the gym. It's bad enough I run into her at other places.
