In the fall there were maybe a couple per week. Now its 3-4 per day for entire school district. Limited quarantines though because of all the safety measures in place. The positives should change soon though because WHO just said they were changing the PCR test because there were too many false positives for C-19 and the test was detecting dead virus and/or other corona viruses.

Oh this is interesting. So I wonder if all of these people with zero symptoms of being sick and tested positive, actually never even had Covid 19.

Or my father in law- who tested positive 3 times since the spring.
First time I am sure he had it- he had cold symptoms, mild, but at least it was something.
2nd and 3rd time- nothing. Not sick at all.
I find it very hard to believe you can get it so often and so soon after having it.
So this would make so much sense- maybe it's picking up the dead virus in his system or something.
Very interesting

So, should your dad get the vaccine if he had that many times? I hear mixed things on what to do in terms of the vaccination? So should you not get it because you have the anti-bodies?

We asked the doctors on that because he's in a nursing home so was one of the first offered the vaccine. They said that yes, he should still get the vaccine.
I did think of that though, like if you had it, do you not get the vaccine?
How long do the antibodies last from having had it versus never having it and getting the vaccine antibodies?

So so so many people have had it in this country- but yet they are still getting vaccinated right?

Then there are cases of at least one person I know who was told they were positive on a PCR and a month later had no antibodies- so was the PCR a false positive? Or did they already lose their antibodies a month later?
Can you assume you have antibodies just because you had a positive test?
So many questions I have. lol

I think it does pick up dead cells! I thought I read that somewhere, and people still test positive months later.

My teenage cousin had Covid in November. She was flying to Alaska for family in early Jan and had to get a test before travel. It came back positive. She did another test the day she got the results and that was negative. So who knows what the heck is going on.

Yes - I read you don't need to test again to come out of quarantine as you may test positive for awhile.

I know people who tested positive for the 20% testing and then negative.

I guess you can think of it as these tests aren't foolproof, they came out rather quickly!

They aren’t, or results can be misinterpreted, at least that’s what Kary Mulli (the inventor of pcr tests) have inferred.

I get notified everyday lately. Mainly staff. I would never have my kids go remote. They are safer in school and learn better in person

We get notices daily about the district wide cases. It has been as high as 15ish for a school. My sons school is max 2-3 but we’ve been on a good few days and haven’t had any cases. His school alone is probably 700+ students and then staff on top. We have 2 elementary, a middle and a HS. So it’s big. The middle and high school are the issues.

Is covid going to be the next hpv? Like you have it, then dormant, then back again?

My daughter is going to school, period the end.
As long as they are open, she is there.
I would never consent to remote learning as a choice
Never, ever.
I still have PTSD from that.
No way

same!

Re: How many new COVID+ results are reported in your school district daily?

we have been having at least 1-2 a day for the past few weeks sometimes more.

i already consented back in Dec. for testing.

My kids are going no matter what. i dont want them home. well really my son cause his teacher barely does any online teaching and my son suffers from it!!!

For some reason I have a feeling that Cuomo all of a sudden doesnt care about zones and testing cause i feel like by now my area should be in a zone which would have required testing!

I feel the same way - he hasn’t changed the zones since before Thanksgiving and cases continue to rise.
