How long was your LO in Newborn sized clothes?
My shower was Saturday and we got a TON of clothes, but literally nothing in newborn size. I have maybe 4 footie pajamas in NB that I bought on my own, plus maybe 2 outfits, and a bunch of plain white carters onesies in NB that I also bought on my own.
Other than that, the majority of the clothes we got are either 0-3M or 3M.
Just curious how long your LO was in NB size for and if it's worth it for me to run out and get a few more pajamas and outfits in that size.

Both my girls were in them for 3 months. I get nervous with extra fabric around them when they were so little. For me, newborn sizes were a must and got their use.

How long was your LO in Newborn sized clothes?
Dd1 was 7.15 and wore newborn a good 6 weeks. I would definitely get some more. Especially assuming you'll have the baby during the cooler weather you'll probably use the sleepers day and night. I exchanged 3 month stuff for bigger and smaller sizes bc I got a ton at my shower. Dd2 was a preemie so she was in newborn a while too after the preemie sizes. She was born in November so I used to put her in the gowns with socks and a sleep sack at night. Those you can get away with using bigger.

I had NOTHING in NB sizes when DD was born. She was 6 lbs 8 oz and remained in NB clothes for about 6 weeks. I had to go out and get some.

I'm trying to remember too... I want to say about a month, which means the 1st christmas outfit I just bought for DD3 in newborn might be too small...

I think around 5-6 weeks. Longer than people told me to expect, I even had to buy more NB clothes.

Like barely a week. He was 7 lbs 12 Oz but 21 inches long. The length was a problem. 0-3 worked better.

DS1 only for about 2 weeks. DS2 and 3 about 6 weeks. I would maybe exchange some of other stuff you got for smaller.

Never. DD was 9 lbs, 21.5" inches and was too big for NB clothes at birth. I had a couple of sleepers that I had washed, and a few onesies and pants that I had not washed and still had tags on and was able to return. I would say keep it very limited, or at least only wash 2 or 3 things!

Never. While she fit the NB limits for weight, she was long and all the NB stuff was too short (especially footie outfits -- she couldn't extend her legs!). We went straight to 3 months.

Never, but both of my boys were over 9lbs and 21 inches long. You never know until the baby comes!!

about a second and a half. We only had 3 outfits. He was tiny. 6lbs and we just put him in the bigger clothes

I think all our clothes were 0-3m, not NB.
I am expecting and plan to only get 0-3m clothing.

DS wore NB for 2 weeks. He was 8lbs 1oz.

DD1 (7lb5oz and 19.5in) was in newborn for about 6 weeks. DD2 (7lb15oz and 21in) was in newborn for about 3 weeks.

dd was 7lbs 1 oz and was in nb clothes for about a month. We were told by EVERYONE not to bother with nb clothes, so we only had like 3 outfits. I ended up having to go out and buy alot of stuff when she was just a few days old

Same with me. Everyone thought my son was going to be this huge baby and he was a 6lb peanut. Ran to target when I was home and got him some newborn outfits

DD #1 for about a month or so. She was 7lbs 5oz at birth
DD #2 was in NB clothes for over 2 months. She was a peanut 6lbs9oz 18.5 inches
ETA: We also had to run out and buy a ton of NB clothes. I had basically none because everyone thought DD was going to be big and she ended up coming 3 weeks early so she was a peanut.
