How long before your due date are you scheduled to take maternity leave?

I'm due Aug 20th, but scheduled my leave starting Aug. 13th (A week before) I'm starting to think I'm nuts for even considering this.

my companys disability policy included 2 weeks prior to the birth

due date was 3/20, my last day of work was 3/8

my due date is 6/23. and I'm scheduled to work to the very very end.. 6/20 which is the Friday before. I know I;m nuts.. my commute is 3hrs a day. and it's killing me.. I am not sure if I can make it.

I was insisting on working to the very end (my due date was 3/30 - a Sunday so I wanted to work til 3/28). This made my boss really nervous that I would give birth at the office. I was still commuting to NYC with sciatica when he told me my last day should be 3/20. I worked til 11PM on 3/19 in anticipation of getting all my stuff done for my last day. Of course, I had DS at 10:24AM on 3/20!
Anyway, my point is I really wish I would have had time before DS came.

I am due 9/8 and I'm just not coming to work after Labor Day so Sept 1st. My last day will be Aug 29

For my first DC, my due date was march 7th, i think i worked until march 9th. I would have kept going, but I was hating my job and figured screw it.


DC was born on the 14th.

This time, i'll be leaving for good, i'd like to stay as long as i can for the $, but we'll see what happens with the twins.

I am due 9/14 and my last day will be 5/30. I wanted to take the summer off and relax before gets here. I won't be returning to work though.

Due date is May 21st...still at work! I'll leave when I feel that it's too much...or I go into labor, whichever comes first!

My last day is June 18th and my EDD is July 2nd. So at 38 weeks I'll be stopping.

I am due 9/5

I would love to go out the middle of August but I might make Aug 29 my last day which gives me a week.

I figure I'll see what the doctor and the baby have in store for me. As for right now I am looking at August 29

3 weeks for me. Once I hit 37 weeks the dr. gave me a note. I was fine.....my only symptom was pregnancy. Anything before 37 weeks you need an actual reason for going on disability.

My DD was the 28th, I planned on leaving on the 21st, but it was too much for me at that point and I left on the 18th. I gave birth on the 22nd...thank God I had a few days to myself.

I'm working until I give birth. I do have the option to work from home on any days I can't make it into the office.

I'll work till the very end, I need my vacation days for maternity leave.

I am hoping to work until the end so that I have as much time with DC as I can. Let's see what happens.

My FMLA does not start until the baby is born, so I plan on using 2 weeks vacation before due date .

When I had DS, I was due on 3/7, I left work on 2/7. I HATED my job, although it was a desk job there was a lot of running around and going up and down steps all day, to much overtime and it was just physically draining. My Dr took pity on me after I came to her office crying after an unusally bad day and gave me a note that 2/7 would be my last day.

Working until the end! I'm 38 weeks and in the office right now! I wish I were home - I still have so much to do to get ready for !

With DS i was due on JUly 1st and left on June 4th. I didnt like my job then and I am still here now and dont like it very much. My commute is like 4 hours per day.

this time around i will probably leave like a week or two earlier.

Luckily, my job puts me out on paid Maternity Leave one month before my due date. I am due 10/28 and my last day of work will be 9/26. Civil Service jobs are good for something I guess!

I worked till the very end. I didn't think I would deliver early or on time so I didn't want to waste any maternity leave time (I got 8 weeks) before the baby got here. I ended up delievering at 37 weeks so it didn't make a difference in the end
