How is the cell phone reception in your house?
Seeing everyone on the other post about landlines saying they have horrible reception, I was just wondering how many people it might be. I thought I was one of the few, since I live in sort of a valley, with slight hills all around, and the cell towers are all around my house, but not very close, so I'm in an island of no cell coverage... 
For the number of bars, just put down an average. If you wander around the house, the reception varies, but there's a rough average if you take the entire house into consideration.

In my apartment, if you stand by the kitchen window (its sort of a small bay window) you might be able to get a bar or two. We call it the phone booth.

I think it is b/c of the airport - I get horrible service here but ok service at work.

I lived in West Islip for 2 years, and didn't get cell phone reception in my house for one minute. I used my land line exclusively. My Sirius Satellite Radio didn't work in front of my house either, and I lost some NYC radio stations once I turned on my street. I used to worry - what the heck was causing this interference and WHAT is it doing to my internal organs??? 
Now in my new house, cell phone reception is fine, 3-4 bars all the time.

upstairs - it's 4 bars.
in my den (half underground - it's a split), I get 1 bar
and ZERO in my basement.

I get ok reception in my house. I have Verizon and can get a few bars.
DH now has Verizon too, since he had to give up Sprint, AT&T, etc. because he got NO reception at all in our entire area, forget about in the house!

4 bars. As much as I hate AT&T's policies and customer service, they have excellent reception. I have full service in my office at work and usually nobody does!

I answered other b/c sometimes I can get 1 or 2 bars and other times it's 0... I would say 50% of the time its 0 bars. Needless to say we have a landline which I would otherwise not have if we didn't have such poor cell reception.

We have perfect reception throughout the house. It was a "must" for DH and I when we were house hunting to have perfect reception everywhere in the house we bought! DH works from home quite often and needs to be on the phone a lot.

It sux..and it depends on which room you're in. Outside is ok. Overall between a 0-2, and the calls drop..alot.

I don't think I've ever had a reception problem w/ Cingular/AT&T.
Been w/ them for at least 7 yrs or so and during that time I've lived in 4 places.
I did have a problem w/ Sprint about 7 yrs ago where I'd have great reception in a house I rented except in my bedroom.
