how do you prepare sweet potatoes for your kids (10 mths & 2)
my kids just WILL NOT eat them. Paul would do the stage 2 dinners with them in it, but I gave it to him steamed and in chunks and he wouldn't touch it!

I roast them-- cut them into pieces, coat with olive oil and a little salt. My DS loves them this way.

I used to make them as baked fries - cut them into wedges, brush on some olive oil and dabber with paprika and rosemary and bake for about 30 minutes in the oven.
Alex likes just plain chunks of it but in the past, I used to put a little honey and cinnamon on them - she loved it.
You could also try mashed sweet potatoes - add some cinnamon, orange juice, a little bit of sugar and margerine.

TY everyone....I tried the fries once and Alyson wanted nothing to do with them.
Maybe I'll try the mashed and Paul will like it cuz it's sweet. What a boy!

My MIL makes them them mashed in a casserole dish with a layer of melted marshmallow on top. Everyone including DD loves it! Probably not very healthy though. She makes it for special occasions.

I bake them and then just scoop it out onto their plate like mashed, and then give them a little pat of butter on it.

I mix veggies sometimes as a change.

I make french fries for him
or
I cut them up - put them onto a baking sheet - put oil, cinnamon, and some brown sugar on top. Oh - a little bit of salt too!
I think they're yummy!

My kids would just eat it straight up. Maybe you could try pureeing it and throwing it with some pasta for a "mac and cheese" effect.
