holy charley horse!
wow! I woke up in the middle of the night literally yelling out in pain from a vicious cramp in my calf. DH was so scared something terrible was happening....
It felt better when I flexed my toes but geez...I hope this is not a new symptom! I haven't had one of those in years...
anyone else get them?

not yet during pregnancy - but they STINK....
have a banana (the potassium helps) and also when it strikes, get that foot onto a COLD place....bathroom tiled floor, etc.
The cold shocks the foot...it should stop almost immediately!

yep, I used to get this all the time during my 2nd trimester. The trick is when you feel like one is coming, flex your toes upwards, it will stop it from happening.

i haven't gotten those yet (knock on wood), but i've been getting butt cramps! So weird! They usually only last for a minute and they appear to alternate cheeks lol, but the worst -and most embarassing- was the other night when i was... ummmm... horseback riding, and as i went to... dismount... i got one! and i couldn't move. I was stuck on the horse  We (me and the horse) were laughing so hard we were crying. But yeah... cramps are NOT fun!

Oh yes i got those as well. They are scary and very PAINFUL! you will feel the after effects for a few days! feel better

Had them with DS and knock on wood, not yet with this pregnancy.
They HURT!
Flex foot, drink water, eat a banana. Thats what helped me get through it.

I had them. One night I had it so bad in the middle of the night, D jumped out of bed and started getting dressed to go to the hospital. He thought I was in labor.

Oooooooooh - that is the WORST !!
I woke up around week 23 screaming - and then hysterically laughing -
I didn't know whether to laugh or cry -
DH said it was b/c I was dehydrated -
I  at him and called him a know it all ...........
but since then I drink like a camel and he was actaully right
