Holiday Tipping hairdresser
I know you're supposed to tip your hair dresser but I kind of don't get why. I go every 3 months or so to get a cut, really what would be called a trim. i am going this Friday. I usually tip her between 35% to 45%. Am I really supposed to give her extra money?

Holiday Tipping hairdresser
I've never given mine a holiday tip. I go every 3 months (same as you) and give her a really good tip every time (same as you again - lol), so I never tip for the holidays.

I never give a Holiday tip either, but then again, I usually don't go near Christmas. I also only get a trim 2-3 times a year max.

I don't give a holiday tip. If I happen to go near Christmas (which it usually falls that I don't) she gets her regular tip.
Enough is enough to be honest.

I go every 6-8 weeks for color and a blow out and every other time for a haircut. I usually tip 20% each time. For Christmas I usually double her tip plus a little extra. I was there on Saturday and gave her $60 plus her regular tip.
My girl really does a great job each time on my hair so I appreciate her.

I do give her a holiday gift simply because I literally get my haircut every four or five months and since she is the owner I do not tip her normally when I get a haircut because she refuses to accept tips. I tip her the cost of a haircut plus what I normally would have given her for a tip anyway and I round up..

i go regularly throughout the year for color and cuts. for the holidays i tipped her 100% of the cost of my appointment that day
