High blood sugar

I have suffered from hypoglycemia for over 10 years. I have never had a reading over over 140. For the past 12 hours or so I have consumed a lot of carbs, fresh fruit, and a cherry danish. I tested my sugar 2 hours after eating the danish and my sugar was 236. I contacted a friend of mine whose son is a diabetic and she said I should contact my OB right away. Problem is I am in Atlantic City and I live on Long Island. Now I am nervous about something being really wrong. I don't go for my glucose screening test until Aug. 3rd. I am worried that I have developed GD. I test myself on a daily basis and this number has me quite concerned....Has anyone ever had a high reading and then be fine?

just call your OB when you get back or call while in AC and see if you can come in sooner than 8/3 for your glucose test.

140 is high though when you are pregnant.

I had GD and they wanted to see my numbers like this:

120 or under 2 hours after a meal
under 90 for fasting

I just retook the test and it was 147. I think I had a bad test strip. This reading was 3 hours after eating a massive cherry danish. I put in a call to my OB. She isn't in the office yet. Thanks....
