My first job was a year-long leave replacement, and the following year it was a lot easier finding a job!!
My first year interviewing, everyone said, "Oh, well, we're looking for someone with more experience"
I HATE THAT SENTENCE!!!!!!!!!
But after the leave replacement, the following year I had multiple offers--it was great!!!!!!!!!!!!! and even though I had to wait another year to get tenure (so after my 4th year--starting in September, actually) it was worth it!!!
 
Is this an elementary position?

He had a classroom last year in another district, but was laid off at the end of the year.
He already has 1.5 years of paid classroom experience, PLUS his student teaching, internships, etc.
He's worked in inclusion classrooms for his entire (although short) career...
He's so marketable - I don't UNDERSTAND why there are no jobs!!!!
